After just enough time to catch your breath from the World Series of baseball, NYC Social Sports Club throws the World Series of Thursday Kickball at you, straight from the Lower East Side.

Bronx School Lets Kids Play Dodgeball With SOCCER BALLS!

I got this story here, from The Daily News.  Here’s the short of it:

A school in the Bronx let kids play Dodgeball with hard soccer balls (it makes our rubber balls seem even more forgiving, right??).  Surprise, some kid got hurt and his parents are suing.

How hard could our players throw a soccer ball?  Scary…

Flag Football Movie Greenlighted, ‘Miraculous True Story’ Says Universal Executive

New Facebook Profile Photos For Thursday Kickball

There are so many close-ups in Denis’ new batch of pictures from Thursday Kickball that I imagine I’ll be seeing these all over Facebook as profile pictures.

I would dare say we have the most attractive players in the city.  Everyone looks like models in these!  Way to maintain those looks through the season, Kickballers!  I guess the playing balances out those pitchers!

Dodgeball Life Lessons

I was checking out the religious Dodgeball video Archie posted a couple weeks ago — part of me thought it was just silly and part of me kept picturing that scene in the Dodgeball movie when the guy started throwing wrenches at the players.  Seriously??  I believed that NYC Social Sports Club could do better than that, so this Thursday, I decided to find some good life lessons from Dodgeball.  You can learn a lot from the game, without bringing office equipment or wrenches into the picture.

Ballin’ With Royalty

You know it’s a big night of Kickball when Prince William and his entourage show up for a couple games.  Sporting a We Got the Runs! jersey under a fashionable Prada blazer, the prince took his seat in the playground’s royal suite, alongside luminaries Madeleine Albright, Andrew ‘Dice’ Clay and Han Solo.  Despite the bitter wind and cold, the stars came out, and they didn’t leave disappointed.

NYC Social Sports Club is still looking for a new logo.  We’ve gotten some ideas…what do you think of this?

I dig the solo cups, and I like the circle-city too…would it look good on team t-shirts?
